THE ROLE:

Acceleration Partners seeks an experienced Paid Marketing Manager to serve as the point person on client projects, working directly with clients in a typical consulting model as both project and delivery manager. This will primarily be a home-based position. Ideally the right candidate would be based in the New York City, Boston, Chicago, or Philadelphia area – but if you’re awesome and live elsewhere we still want to talk to you.

TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Engagement Management and Retention: Accountable for overseeing successful client programs by offering innovative initiatives and campaigns that are executed effectively and on deadline.
  2. Account Performance: Take accountability for ensuring superior account performance. Accountable for overseeing successful client programs by offering innovative initiatives and campaigns that are executed effectively and on deadline.
  3. Client Deliverable Production & Approvals: Provide the final review and approval of client deliverables and act as a point of escalation for team members and clients.
  4. Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert within the paid practice. Stay abreast of relevant industry trends and new opportunities. Exhibit continuous learning, via self-discovery, proactive industry event participation, regular reading, etc.
  5. Practice & Team Support: Serve as a contributing member of the paid marketing practice, bringing new ideas to the team, supporting team operations, and proactively offering and seeking support or guidance from colleagues where it adds value.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

By 6 months:

  • Independently, successfully, and confidently managing client engagements, achieving client goals and delivering a high level of client service
  • Achieving a 90% client retention rate
  • Creating and presenting top-notch client deliverables with minimal managerial editing or proofreading required
  • Actively contributing to the paid marketing team

By 12 months:

  • Able to manage any level of client engagement, independently handling 95% of day-to-day client issues
  • Regularly bringing successful new ideas to client engagements
  • Meeting 95% of mutually agreed upon client goals

QUALITIES OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 3+ years of experience in search engine marketing (SEM), particularly within Google AdWords
  • 2+ years of client service experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Facebook advertising
  • Are an individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment

  • Incorporate both analytical skills and creative thinking into every task

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3-5 years of previous experience in online marketing or strategy roles
  • 2+ years of experience working directly in PPC (Google AdWords)
  • 1+ years of experience working directly in Facebook advertising
  • At least 1 year of experience directly managing client engagements & relationships
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics – including both finding and analyzing data
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel in a professional capacity
  • Experience creating client-ready PowerPoint decks
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to understand new industries quickly
  • Experience with retargeting a plus
